orbA is located in : 6° 51' 0" North, 7° 27' 0" East in Enugu State Nigeria.
orbA is a quiet place that has existed in a very long time. As we all know that every city started as a forest. orbA is under udenu local government (one of local government in Enugu State Nigeria) orbA has different political zones, zones like ohom, ajuona, Amalla,okpu,owereokpu, owereezeorba in this eight Geo political zones are been trace in the map of orbA.orba people have different kingship in every Geo political zones although orbA has a king more superior than others.in owereezeorba the place regarded as the centre of orbA people.owereezeoba is the oldest in all Geo political zones in orbA.in olden days the grandfathers came together in owereezeorba where they had their meeting.another important place in orbA Geo political zones is ohom. Ohom is not older than other political zones in orbA but it is a place that visitors admire when ever they visit orbA and it is largest political zones and more communities in orbA.
ORBA MARKET
orbA is a place of business that visitors come to trade in orbA and it is every four days the name of the market is orie orbA. Orie orbA is one of popular and largest market area in eastern part of Nigeria and also the most visiting market in Enugu State Nigeria. Igala region is the most people that come to orie orbA market to do their trade. Orie orbA is located in the boundary of ohom and Ajuna (two orbA political zones) orbA people only trade their goods and services every four days.although the new generation of orbA people are coming everyday to do their trade (even those people that is not from orbA. orbA is a market of peace and unity.
ORBA LANGUAGE
orbA people speak Igbo language. The dialect of orbA is different from others because of the intonation of orbA language (Wawa) orbA people speak the same intonation. orbA dialect is most spoken language in orbA.orba people only speak English language to those who are not from Igbo land and they speak orbA dialect to those igbo brothers who can't really understand their language. Even when the travel to another state or cities they still speak the dielet to Igbo brothers. In orbA language is something that brings them together.
ORBA FOOD
orbA food is something that orbA people can't do without cooking
And is been prepared very well. The food like otupe (grounded maize) is one of the food ORBA is known for. Another one is ayaraya ji is also another food.akpu (cassava) utara, ogbonu. Itipe, okh,utaraji, okpa and many more. orbA can't do without these food.
ORBA masquerade festival
orbA masquerade festival is a big festival that brings abroad people together and visitors to watch the orbA masquerade, and orbA celebrate their masquerade festival according to their market (eke orie ahu nkwo) although orbA people don't celebrate any of their festival in orie day (their market day) they celebrate their masquerade festival around October everyear. orbA people have different masquerade like ore okpa, ODO, obideyi, nchiricho,ogbuosegburu, akpacha adadaa and many more.
ORBA FESTIVAL
orbA festival is another festival that brings those living other state, cities, countries places to come and watch the great festival. orbA FESTIVAL is celebrated in all political zones of orba. The most popular festival is called umudiale day and some other festivals in the town.
ORBA DEITY AND ORACLE
orbA is known as a home of DEITY AND ORACLE although it is not mostly used for bad use but for worshipping and for the sake of protection and so on. The most popular orbA Oracle is amayi orbA and nwachege and so on
ORBA BEREAVEMENT AND GRIEF
orbA people Respect the dead not just that they give respect to everyone who has leave the earth. When someone is dead in orbA being it son or daughter the first person to tell is the father of the deceased although the father may know but the tradition says that if someone died the person's father must not grief until his Kingsmen come to tell him. His Kingsmen Will have to have a brief meeting before going to the place of the deceased father. orbA people say that ''onyeshi Mari nah nwanya nwuru n ji agwayA'' after telling the person's father the father has to cry. In the issue of when someone's father or mother dies the person will tell his Kingsmen and must come to his/her place to cry so that people will know that someone has died.
ORBA BURIAL And FUNERAL
The burial of orbA person is through process (according to the tradition) when a child is born the child will be buried but no funeral celebration ( from a day to twelve years) the child will be buried immediately. When Young person dies (either a girl or a boy) the person will be buried by the youths but funeral is not necessary. In terms of elder ones (Our father and mother) when the person dies his or her sons and daughters (especially sons) will have to do funeral for he or she (the deceased) by slaughtering a cow but the person doesn't have to own any cow unless he will slaughter the cows he or she is owing together (according to orbA tradition) another important things about burial in orbA is that if a woman dies (the person must be married) before the woman is been buried they will first of all tell her parents before the burial. Another important thing about funeral is that when someone dies and someone who is not the member of the family or as a man when your mother's father or mother dies, the man can offer a cow to the wife for burial likewise friends, sons, daughters and mothers etc. If a woman is dead the deceased will be buried anywhere in her husband compound but a man will be buried in front of his compound.
ORBA believe/belief
One thing I like about orbA people is how they percieve the grief/ bereavement with the following reasons
orbA people do according to the tradition
orbA people respect the dead
We spend our time in burial and funeral of our love ones
And we also spend money
If not for the love we show to the dead we can't come together like it is in other occasions
orbA people believe that death is something that needs time and effort in other to give the deceased the last respect, also when ever someone dies the relatives and friends have to close their shops to give the person respect.orba people do not ignore anyone that died although if someone dies but the person is regarded as wicked person the person will be buried but no funeral for the person,but the close relatives will have to stay for seven days but not necessary but if is a person that is regarded as good person the relatives will have to stay for seven days before going home to their various home.

Orba is a nice place to be with wonderful people. orbA people have produced a greatmen and women. The present governor of Enugu State is from orbA honorable doctor ifeanyi ugwuanyi. orbA is sub urban area a place of peace and unity.
